Join us for day two of the 2023 THEYFRIEND Nonbinary Performance Festival at San Francisco’s premiere LGBTQ nightlife venue, OASIS! Co-hosted by 2023 San Francisco Drag King of the Year LOTUS BOY and drag deity Gothess Jasmine (Austin), this showcase features live music from Krudas Cubensi & theyfriend and drag & burlesque performances from Harddeep Singh, JanpiStar, Ling Ling Super Bloom, & Piss E Sissy! Come early & stay late to dance with DJ Digital Kitkat!

Join the kickoff event of the 2023 THEYFRIEND Nonbinary Performance Festival with a facilitated discussion and performances featuring local and national nonbinary artists. Hosted by multidisciplinary artist SNJV, the event will begin with a pre-panel conversation, “What is Nonbinary?” with Sam Favela from the Transgender District. The showcase will include performances from drag artist Mojo Carter, musician Joce Ryder, poet Zara Jamshed, and short film from Riy Mutakabbir. After the performance showcase, SNJV will moderate a panel discussion between the performers, discussing the relationship between their art and their nonbinary identities.

Join us at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts for soft defiance, a collaboratively-curated visual arts exhibition exploring the intersection between softness & queer mental health. This Art + Pride exhibition, featuring over 30+ Bay Area visual artists, runs from June 17–July 15, 2023.

Hosted by Diamond Wave Director Vin Seaman, this sensational showcase of nonbinary performance will include newly commissioned work from this year’s featured performers– Rawiyah Tariq, Sharmi Basu, & Tyler Holmes– as well as video from Evan Spigelman & Moonyeka.

Call for Nonbinary Performing Artists! Diamond Wave is hosting our third annual THEYFRIEND Festival this November in San Francisco, a multi-day event that uplifts and supports nonbinary performers and centers nonbinary community in the Bay Area. We’re looking for a wide range of artists, including video submissions. Applications are due July 15!

With both in person and virtual options, our 2021 THEYFRIEND Festival will take place November 18 & 19 at the Brava Cabaret in San Francisco. As a celebration and uplifting of nonbinary identity, this year's festival will feature three commissioned artists: multidisciplinary artist Edgar Fabián Frías, drag king LOTUS BOY, and musician Peekaboo.
