About the Event
Join us for A Verona of Our Own!
Diamond Wave, the San Francisco Office of Transgender Initiatives, and The Transgender District invite you to a cozy trans & nonbinary gathering at this summer’s Free Shakespeare in the Park. We’ll be reserving space for our group, so please RSVP to help us plan enough snacks, drinks, and seating for everyone!
This year’s San Francisco Shakespeare Festival production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona reimagines the classic as two young men journey from a small Midwestern town to the alluring promise of California, where dreams are made and broken in equal measure. Their adventure — full of love, conflict, and reinvention — will have you laughing, cheering, and singing along. Learn more about the show at sfshakes.org.
The performance runs about 90 minutes with no intermission at Sue Bierman Park (just off the Embarcadero at Washington & Drumm, across from the Ferry Building).
✨ Pro tip: bring a blanket, snacks, and drinks to get comfy and make the most of the afternoon!
