About the Event
To celebrate Transgender History Month, Diamond Wave invites you to an online gathering where we reimagine the past, present, and future to center nonbinary experience, creativity, and joy.
We’ll begin with short community-led spotlights on nonbinary figures from history—both well-known and unsung. Every participant is welcome to bring a story or information about a nonbinary person who inspires them and share for up to 3 minutes (No pressure to come without anything prepared—everyone is welcome to participate however they feel comfortable).
Then, we’ll shift into a collective creative session where you’re invited to respond through whatever medium moves you: drawing, painting, writing, collage, song, dance, performance, or even dreaming out loud.
Together, we’ll envision scenes of nonbinary joy—reimagined histories, grounded present-day moments, and radiant futures where nonbinary people are fully seen, celebrated, and free.
✨ Bring your favorite creative tools—sketchbooks, watercolors, iPads, typewriters, instruments, your voice, your movement, or your imagination.
✨ Feel free to do your own research and bring a story, image, or information about a nonbinary person who inspires you to share or reflect on.
✨ No formal art experience needed—just your spirit of curiosity and your desire to create in community.
Let’s gather across time, in celebration and co-creation, to remember that we have always existed—and we continue to shape the worlds to come.
