About the Workshop

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about how to apply makeup and see a live demonstration, focusing on why makeup is applied the way it is and how to assess skin type and problem solving techniques for their features.

Kai Gault (they/them) / KaiKai Bee Michaels (she/her) is an avid lover of art and social justice with a penchant for education and information sharing. They are a jack of all trades mostly because trying out new things can be very fun! Kai has been performing in drag for over 7 years and cosplaying for longer so has a love for costuming, makeup, and transformation. Kai works during the day as an advocate for unhoused people in Oakland and performs at night as well as on the weekends.

About the Series

MASCellaneous is a creative workshop series exploring queer masculinities. The program seeks to create new queer masculine archetypes, shift existing queer masculine culture, and create affinity amongst cis and trans men and masculine of center women and non-binary people. Learn more →
