Healing Masculinities

A workshop w/ Vin Seaman

Tuesday, July 11, 2023
5:30 - 7:30 pm PST
In-Person at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts
50 Scott Street, San Francisco, CA 94117

About the Workshop

Diving deep into masculine ideologies to understand and heal our relationship with masculinities.

Most people are familiar with the negative behaviors and attributes associated with “toxic masculinity.” Yet less time is spent discussing how other models can lead us toward repairing our relationships with masculinity.

On Tuesday, July 11, join interdisciplinary artist and facilitator Vin Seaman for this empowering workshop on healing masculinities at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts at 50 Scott Street (adjacent to Duboce Park) in San Francisco.

During this interactive workshop, Vin Seaman will guide participants through definitions of masculine ideologies and create space to redefine what it means to be masculine in today's world. Through open discussions, group activities, and personal reflections, attendees will gain valuable insights into breaking free from societal stereotypes and embracing a healthier, more authentic version of masculinity.

Whether you identify as male/masculine-of-center or are interested in understanding and supporting the men and masculine people in your life, this workshop offers a safe space for growth, self-reflection, and connection. Please bring clothes you are able to move in. Don't miss out on this opportunity to challenge and heal masculinities in a supportive community environment.

Spaces are limited, so make sure to reserve your spot today!

Accessibility: This workshop will take place in a well ventilated dance studio with open windows and an air filter in the upstairs of Harvey Milk Center for the Arts (HMCA). HMCA is ADA compliant with wheelchair accessible restrooms and an elevator. Please contact kiana@diamond-wave.org for additional needs or requests.
